Level two books help in developing Hindi vocabulary for children who have become familiar with Hindi script and have learnt a few basic words. Each story consists of small paragraphs. On each page of the book, the top paragraph provides the narrative in Hindi. Immediately below it is the transliteration of the paragraph in English. If the transliterated paragraph is read in conversational English, the pronunciation would be similar to the one in Hindi. The paragraph at the bottom of the page provides the English translation. In this way, the reader acquires increased familiarity with Hindi while following Tara Sitara through her fun-filled adventures.

Tara Sitara

The book consists of three stories. In the first story, Tara Sitara, Tara tries out for different sports at her school. It introduces the names of some common sports that children play at American schools. In the second story, Tara's Ball, Tara loses her ball and looks around the house for it. As Tara searches for the ball, the reader learns the names of many relatives. In the third story, Tara's School, a typical day of Tara at school is described. As Tara becomes the star of the school's play, the reader learns Hindi names for many common activities done at school.

Tara's Adventurs (Tara ke kisse)

Among the three stories in this book, the first, Tara on a Trip, introduces the names of some common modes of travel. In the second story, Tara in a Band, Tara tries to form a band, thereby teaching the reader the name of some common musical instruments. The third story, Tara in a Mall, has Tara shopping in a mall, and we are introduced to many different items commonly found in shops.

Hindi Children's Level 2 Reader

This book combines the previous two Tara books to provide a more cost-effective bundle of six stories for the reader.
